Two Boroughs Larder

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine called and asked if I would like to come shoot his hosted dinner at Two Boroughs Larder, one of the newest and trendiest restaurants here in Charleston. I practically tripped over myself to take him up on the offer. It was a dream shoot. Me. In a restaurant. With food grown right here in town and full, flowing  glasses of wine. How on earth did I get so lucky?

Luck or skill – I tell you, some days I pinch myself when I wake up and realize this is what I get to do. I am passionate about photography. It’s exciting and new and different every day. And every second I am working it fills my soul up. Some days I am shooting babies. Other days, a wedding. And yet other days, I get to shoot something as amazing and fun as this.

We should live all our moments in gratitude. Grateful for work. Grateful for food. Grateful for shelter and warmth and cool air when we need that too. Grateful for friends and family. And new opportunities that present themselves.

Today, I am grateful for all of that and more. I am grateful for living and enjoying a full and simple life with purpose and heart. Some days, it’s not easy and the seas are rough. But come on with me. There’s plenty of room in this little old boat for enjoying it all together.
