warning – horn tooting ahead!

So I don’t NORMALLY use this blog for tooting my own horn. But sometimes you just have to be proud. Loud and proud.

This fall, I got the opportunity to work with this awesome creative director (yes I’m looking at you @beckiemanly) on a shoot that I knew would be personally and professionally trying. Centered around the abuse of children, the campaign was geared as a raw look at the wake of the individuals abuse leaves behind. As challenging as I thought this assignment was going to be, I was sure that we would have no problem pulling it off. The concept was solid. It was just a matter of all the elements coming together. And they certainly came together!

This morning, I woke up to a text that said this: “Congrats! Best of Show and a Gold Addy for the TV from the advocacy campaign!”

Yayyy! I could NOT be more excited today! I was never one to get into the awards shows during my agency days. But I can’t tell you how excited I am about the award!

I love what I do. Everyday I feel fortunate that I get to wake up and be me. But stuff like this just makes it all a little more worthwhile.

A little validation for this Sunday morning…goes a long way.

Enjoy the clip. It’s a short watch.
