Summer Love.

It doesn’t take much to lure me into Summer. It is the season of bounty. It is the season of lingering and lounging by water with friends. It is the season of hammocks and brightly colored beach towels. And today, I feel dizzydrunk on the intoxicating effects of thoughts of her pulling me closer, begging me to play. The scent of the fresh cut grass, sweet with the morning’s mist, takes me back to the days of fireflies and backyard swimming pools. And the thick, heavy fragrance of jasmine and magnolias permeate the southern air, reminding me of the tanned skin, golden hair, sundresses and dates with college bound boyfriends.

Oh Summer, sweep me off my feet and take me away to float lazily, blissfully and happily in your wake forever.
