catching up.

I am delinquent with my life.

Blog posts. Bills. Work. Gift giving. Even yoga has taken a backseat to the abyss that has become my heated, summer life. Everything seems to have slowly and quietly crept just out of my grasp.

So this week was spent ordering and organizing. Searching and sorting. And I finally did something I have wanted to do for months: take this photo of my boy. I have been thinking about it for a while. He has been so interested in the guitar. And all things England. Both make my heart swell with the pride of a stage mother. Even though this isn’t quite how I pictured it to be, I still love it. You see, he had his own ideas about this shoot today (they were along the lines of  NO WAY…I am NOT going in that yard. It’s too hot and WAY too buggy!). It has attitude and innocence – just like he does in this moment – especially on this day.

I love my boy. And I am so happy I have finally caught up to what is really essential in my life…being present.
