This isn’t the first post I have done about sunsets. I am certain it won’t be the last. But there is just something magical about catching Mother Nature’s glorious, colorful lightshow at the end of a particularly difficult weekend. It’s a special gift for those who are lucky enough to notice and crazy enough to be outdoors to witness it – despite the oppressive summer heat. After a long weekend that included miles of driving, a funeral in a small town buried away in central South Carolina, my first migraine ever, and trashing the remnants of my parents possessions into a dumpster, I caught a glimpse of the latest summer masterpiece. Sometimes when I see these sunsets, they take my breath away and today was no exception. On one side of me, orange, magenta and azure blue swirls like some magical concoction of rainbow sherbert. On the other side, candy-colored puffs of pink against a neon blue night sky like cotton candy floating in a Caribbean sea. It was like a gift from someone special telling me that life will go on. And no matter what, I will too.

Thanks guys. I love you, too!
